Course Overview:
Knowing ESG risk will help Management to navigate ESG performance mapping. ESG best practices in manufacturing have come under regulatory scrutiny due to use of raw materials and disposal of waste and its high demand for energy. For a global manufacturing organization- sustainability compliance as a supply chain organization is even more crucial with laws around supply chain due diligence. For a public listed company - product or services delivery becomes highly challenging due to Emission strategies such as Net Zero.
Bursa Malaysia has mandated listed companies to assess climate and ESG risks and report it according to international standards. Securities Commissions mandates companies to assess climate scenarios and conduct financial stress tests to minimize risks caused by emissions and investments. Financial institutions have begun to engage larger corporations and SMEs over sustainable financing. Management systems audits serve as a supply chain due diligence to identify gaps in best practices within manufacturing operations.
